The population of Hungary is nearly 10 million people.
The main ethnic group is ethnic Hungarians (85.6%). The next two most common are Romani (3.2%) and Germans (1.9%).
The most common religious groups are Roman Catholics (37.2%), Calvinists (11.6%), Lutherans (2.2%), and Greek Catholic (1.8%).
Hungarian is the official language of Hungary, with most (approximately 99.6%) of the population speaking it. Other languages include (16%) English, (11.2%) German, (1.6%) Russian, and (1.3%) and (1.2%) speak Romanian & French respectively, and other languages (4.2%).

Birth Country, Mother's Birth Country, and Maternal Grandmother's Birth Country have been normalized from DAR database fields. The Maternal Origin is determined based on the three previous fields.
