Denmark is officially the Kingdom of Denmark. It is a country in Northwestern Europe.
The population of Denmark is made up of 5 million people. Danish and Faroese are the main languages. German is a small minority language and Greenlandic is an Inuit dialect.
In terms of ethnic groups, the population (86.7%) including Greenlandic and Faroese people are of Danish ethnicity. Other groups include Turkish, Polish, Syrian, Romanian, German and Iraqi.
Evangelical Lutheran (76%) is the official religion of the country. Muslims make up the next largest group 4%. The remaining mix religion groups (20%) are the other religious fractions in Denmark.

Birth Country, Mother's Birth Country, and Maternal Grandmother's Birth Country have been normalized from DAR database fields. The Maternal Origin is determined based on the three previous fields.
