Chad is officially the Republic of Chad. It is a country in North-Central Africa.
The population of Chad consists of 12 million people.
The majority of people are Muslims (52.1%) religious and the others are Protestants (23.9%), Roman Catholics (20%), Animist (0.3%), other Christian (0.2%), none (2.8%) and unspecified as 0.7%.
The ethnic groups of Chad are Sara (30.5%), Bornu (9.8%), Arab (9.7%), Maba (7%), Gorane (5.8%), Musseye (4.9%), Medogo (3.7%), Lele (3.5%), and other groups.
French and Arabic have the most speakers in Chad as two official languages. Also, Chad has more than 120 different languages and dialects.
