Blurb: This point in your ancestors' journey began in West Asia. While many from this lineage traveled toward South Asia, others turned west and slowly moved toward the Mediterranean region.

Today, this lineage is present most often in India (3 percent) and in Croatia (4 percent). It is present at low frequencies of less than 1 percent in the British Isles and Portugal.

Samples come both from published academic literature and donations from genetic genealogy community members. In addition to GenBank samples, listings below may include other samples published but not submitted to GenBank such as those from the HapMap project.
