Genetic Genealogy Vocabulary Explained


A group of Y-STRs that share a haplogroup. It is a HAS A relationship. A haplogroup has a haplotype or haplotypes associated with it. Though members of the haplogroup are expected to have the haplotype, it is possible for members of another haplogroup to have an identical or similar haplotype.
