Buccal cell

A buccal cell is a cell from the lining in the human mouth. It is part of the body system that keeps the inside of our mouths moist. This system has a fast cell replacement time of about a day. Buccal cells are often used for DNA testing. This is because they are plentiful and painless to collect.
